The Beaujolais region is attached to the Massif Central. This position gives it a particular geological structure. Indeed, shallow soils are formed on a pink granitic sand, and we can find some micro-terroir due to different alterations.
A particular culture.
Cedric Vincent cultivates Gamay noir there. He appropriate the method of cultivation of this emblematic grappe variety. Indeed, he uses fan-shaped pruning and rigid tying to gain sunshine and airing. The bunches of grapes opens more up and don’t need any phytosanitaire treatment. This method enable him to produce quality wines with strong character.
